Warranty requires product to be installed by a State Licensed Contractor or, upon installation, be inspected and approved by a State Licensed Contractor as to installation requirements. Warranty registration MUST include State Contractors License Number. STAIRGUARD intends to provide needed safety on the home staircase and cannot emphasize enough the importance of proper installation.

STAIRGUARD warranties every component in the STAIRGUARD Home Safety System to be free of defects in material or workmanship that may impair the intended purpose of same when installed and maintained as designed, for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase.
This warranty does not apply where:

• Installed on exterior staircases exposed to weather and/or UV rays.
• Repairs have been made when damaged.
• Alterations not approved by STAIRGUARD.
• The product shows signs of abuse, misuse, or improper installation.
• Repairs are required due to normal wear and tear.
• Installation is performed by other than a State Licensed Contractor/or if installation is not inspected by a State Licensed Contractor.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
