Originally constructed out of steel and not hinged, the improvement of ABS plastic has provided a greater degree of shock absorption in the case of impact in a fall.

All components are now injection molded out of high quality ABS plastic, making them maintenance free and providing exceptional resiliance to damage from wear and tear and or impact, should it occur.
